NIO is seeking research engineers for our Digital Cockpit team located in San Jose, California.

NIO is seeking research engineers for our Digital Cockpit team located in San Jose, California.
Responsibilities:
- Study, research, prototype, validate technologies and solutions using machine learning, deep learning to classify and analyze real time data to create user or system behaviors model.
- Prototype your ideas through software development, leveraging off-the-shelf libraries and tools to your advantage, architecting re-usable and re-configurable modules with sensible designs, clear interfaces, well-prescribed assumptions, and well-documented code.
- Bring your creativity and unique perspective to bear in the creation and execution of game-changing research projects.
- Expand your knowledge about research advances and tools by reading papers, maintaining connections with academic and industry research networks, attending conferences, participating in professional organizations, and exploiting educational opportunities.
Qualifications:
- PhD or master’s degree with publication and research projects, in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Applied Mathematics.
- At least 1 year experience in relevant domain in industry or academic.
- Experience building, training, and optimizing neural networks.
- Hands-on expertise with one or more Deep Learning frameworks (Pytorch, Tensorflow, Keras, Caffee etc).
- Experience with unsupervised model.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with C++.
- Experience with unorganized data.
- Experience in anomalies detection and prediction.
- Excellent communication skills. Capable of explaining complex technical topics in non-technical audiences.
