As Data Engineer in our data science team, you will be responsible for working closely with the BI team to support them with high-quality data that forms the basis for various reports and dashboards important for Enpal daily business. The tasks include but are not limited to 1) creating data ingestion pipelines in the Azure cloud platform to migrate data from external sources to Enpal Data Warehouse, 2) initiating data quality projects and maintaining high data quality in Enpal Data Warehouse, 3) optimizing SQL queries whenever needed, 4) design and implement information extraction and processing (micro)services in Azure with Python. 

• Assist BI Analysts in delivering value to senior management and BUs
• Create and maintain data ingestion ELT pipelines from a wide variety of sources with bulk loads and incremental updates in Azure
• Assemble large, complex high-quality data sets that meet business requirements
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes with Robotic Process Automation, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
• Analyze data to make sure they are in line with company policies and any external regulations (like GDPR) that may apply
• Identify and optimize poorly performing SQL queries
• Create information extraction and storage pipelines by using Azure services (Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL DB, etc.) and Python code
• Work together with a Data Science Team Lead, Data Architect, and other Data Engineers in other, non-BI support related projects

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or related field required (Master's degree preferred)
• 3+ years experience as a Data Engineer, Data Architect, Data Scientist, or similar role
• Experience in gathering and analyzing system requirements
• Proven knowledge of SQL and Python
• Deep understanding SQL and NoSQL databases (structured and unstructured data)
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI or Tableau)
• Proficiency with Azure cloud platform and its services is highly desired
• Must be able to develop creative solutions to problems
