Job Description

As the Sr IT Manager – Data, Reporting & Analytics, you will have a tremendous opportunity to impact the ITW Welding companies’ vision and roadmap around Master Data Management, data architecture, governance, reporting and Advanced Analytics. The Sr IT Manager – Data, Reporting & Analytics is also responsible for aligning with business partners to scale our BI skillset and practice. As the leader of our Data team, you must demonstrate strong operational skills to drive efficiency and speed, solid project leadership, and a strong vision to proactively improve decision making.

This team is highly visible within the organization and is responsible for our Master Data Management strategy including solutions and processes, ensuring customer facing data is accessible, optimized, and accurate.  This individual will lead with the planning and implementation of data and reporting strategies ensuring policies and procedures are consistent with company goals, best practices, software compliance, and regulatory requirements.

We are looking for a driven individual that is motivated to succeed with excellent team and project leadership skills.   A qualified candidate will understand data as it relates to manufacturing systems and how simplified processes drive employee ownership at all levels in the organization.

Essential Functions: 

  • Management of the IT applications within the Data and BI portfolio, which includes Master Data Management strategy (MDM), Azure Data Lake, integrations to Dynamics 365, Product Information Management (PIM) and Analytics Reporting
  • Keen of industry best practices and standards associated with modern data architecture and topology; with specific experience within the Microsoft reporting and analytics landscape
  • Partner with the Data Analytics and Data Lake business partners to ensure accurate, accessible data and reporting to drive business decisions
  • Assess and grow talent and skillset of the Data and Reporting team to establish standards, roadmap, and governance
  • Train and develop staff members and participate in professional development plan
  • Lead the team to deliver and maintain high impact dashboards and data visualizations
  • Work closely with our user community and IT professionals to build consensus and standards that are scalable, adaptable, and flexible to meet the needs of a changing business landscape
  • Comply with SOX audit requirements and execute change management best practices
  • Ensures compliance with software licensing
  • Ability to deliver solutions with industry leading security and efficiencies that aligns with the Enterprise Agenda
  • Experience with managing Microsoft cloud systems, workloads, and environments for Dynamics 365
  • Ensure data systems as well as other related business applications are highly available and maintained using best practices and robust security standards
  • Determine project schedules and effectively manage the allocation of resources to achieve project objectives
  • Create and manage project and Data team budgets
  • Ensure that ITW Welding companies engaged in electronic transacting are viewed as excellent trading partners by our customers and vendors

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT technical, or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience with IT Data Architecture, Reporting, BI, Advanced Analytics or related skills
  • 3-5 years of direct report leadership experience managing a team of 3 or more
  • Experience in crafting and developing enterprise data warehouse and business analytics capabilities
  • Lead direction for ongoing end-to-end infrastructure and integrations to support business systems
  • Experience preferred with Azure Data Lake, Microsoft Power BI, or relevant systems
  • Experience implementing cloud infrastructure and implementations
  • Background working with team members in an Agile or Scrum environment
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with strong customer support orientation
  • Exhibits a strong ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive, and energy
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic understanding of sales and distribution, manufacturing, and accounting
