Job Description

Salary Range
- $130k to $135k (no bonus offered)

Role Purpose
We are looking for a strong hands-on BI Solutions Architect to join our exciting DT & I team. This is a unique opportunity to be involved in delivering leading-edge business analytics using the latest and greatest cutting-edge BI tools, such as cloud-based databases, self-service analytics and leading visualisation tools enabling the company’s aim to become a fully digital organisation.
Key Accountabilities
- Technical lead on various BI Projects including technical management of consultants, offshore resources, Senior and Junior BI team members
- Lead the team of developers from both Data Engineering and Analytics team
- Deliver Technical Design Document capturing specific processes and data flows, data definitions and relevant business rules
- Assign development tasks to developers and provide guidance
- Work with business leads and lead technical discussions and provide technical solutions
- Collaborate with the BI Dev team members to evaluate, design, and develop BI reports and dashboards according to functional specifications while maintaining data integrity and data quality
- Apply best practices of data integration for data quality and automation
- Work with business analysts to understand business requirements and use cases in order to write and assign technical stories and tasks
- Work independently within guidelines, responsible for initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and implementation of projects using a formal project management and agile methodology
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to translate business information needs into well-defined data requirements to implement the BI solutions
- Coaching, mentoring and providing technical direction and training to other IT personnel
- Working with Head of BI & Head of Analytics to develop and establish BI road Map/Vision
Qualifications
Professional Skills
- Excellent communications skills and ability to turn business requirements into technical solutions
- Experience in developing data lakes and data warehouses using Microsoft Azure, Azure Data Factory
- Strong database design skills, including an understanding of both normalised form and dimensional form databases
- In-depth knowledge and experience of data-warehousing strategies and techniques e.g., Kimble Data warehousing
- Excellent understanding of ETL using numerous technologies
- Strong database design skills, including an understanding of both normalised form and dimensional form databases
- Strong advanced SQL and query optimization skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrable experience designing high-quality dashboards using Power BI
- Knowledgeable in software development lifecycles/methodologies, i.e., agile
- Strong presentation and collaboration skills and can communicate all aspects of the job requirements, including the creation of formal documentation
- Strong problem solving, time management and organizational skill
Key Experiences
- Previous experience in a Senior Lead or Team Leader role in an Agile Development environment.
- Broad BI expertise on number of different technologies with experience of picking up new skills quickly to keep up with the fast-paced technological advances in BI
- Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor employees
- Self-starter who can manage own direction and projects
- Excellent communication skills
- Being delivery-focused with a can-do attitude in a sometime challenging environment is essential.
- Experience architecting and delivering applications within cloud/SAAS/multi-tenancy environments is desirable
- Integration of global applications such as D365, Salesforce, Workday and Concur into cloud data warehouse
- 3/5 years experience in developing data lakes and data warehouses using Microsoft Azure
- Experience working with finance data highly desirable

The anticipated salary range for this position is $130k - $135k. Salary is based on a wide range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
