Experian Micro Analytics started from this observation to become a gateway between the Telco and the banking world. We bring high risk management standards to the mobile world through our solutions with the permanent objective to fast-track deployments.

By combining multiple Telco data attributes, we build a Telco score that empowers Financial Institutes to make more informed decisions on credit applications for bureau invisible or thin file clients.

We are currently looking for a Machine Learning Consultant to join our team and support the EMA project (Experian Micro Analytics) for the Dynamic Airtime Advance product, that is a robust, sophisticated, and future proof, based on the best-in-class strategy management platform, used in the mobile sector for 20 years with over 2000 deployments globally.

The ML Consultant will support and lead the delivery of analytical solutions, primarily modelling and optimization-based deliveries, using best practice analytical techniques, to deliver a range of benefits to both Experian’s clients and the end consumer.

Job Description

What you will be doing:

• Perform detailed business and systems analysis, outlining problems, opportunities, and solutions for a business
• Find opportunities to grow the DAA revenue by understanding the portfolio behavior and data model analysis
• Strategy Planning to drive the project revenue based on the observed DAA model’s performance and results
• Developing innovative solutions for operational and strategic changes to grow the revenue
• Identifying issues, risks and benefits of existing and proposed solutions and outlining business impacts.
• Modelling business processes and identifying opportunities for project improvements​
• Oversee and facilitate the training of a range of Machine Learning models
• Drive high standards of customer service and proactive client communication throughout the project term
• Building strong customer relationships and delivering customer centric solutions
• Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies
• Add value to client’s business by recommending beneficial solutions.
• Take responsibility for the quality of the project deliverables within the predefined timelines
• Managing projects, developing project plans, and monitoring performance.
• Engage with the relevant stakeholders to gather business requirements
• Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.

Qualifications

What you will bring:

• Degree in appropriate field or equivalent work experience
• Ability to write Python code/ Core Python expertise
• Good understanding of business and systems analytical methods and techniques.
• Ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
• Collaboration skills demonstrate in building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives
• Keen problem solver with an analytical mindset. 
• Effective stakeholder engagement
• Critical thinking and decision making
• Good communication and influence skills to shape and contribute to the outcomes across distributed groups 
• Business acumen combined with a comfort with technology will be an advantage
• Exposure to Linux will be an advantage
• Fluency in English
