What we do in the Data Science team at AVIV

The Data Science team is composed of more than 40 economists, data scientists, data engineers and machine learning engineers. Our role is to produce and continuously enrich the housing market insights (estimation models, price maps and price indices among others) that are made available on the AVIV sites in France, Germany and Belgium.

To achieve this we operate as a research lab. This means building bridges with the academic ecosystem : five members of the team are currently PhD candidates in mathematics and economics and we have active partnerships with researchers and university professors that sit on our Scientific Committee. This also means we don’t settle for only applying existing solutions when it comes to our domain of expertise: off the shelf algorithms are just good enough, to go beyond that we are building our own proprietary solutions.
