Job Description

You will make your mark by being an ambassador of our team to support our business colleagues to take a more data driven approach.

You will be working from our Abu Dhabi office and will be part of our corporate data engineering team, based in the Netherlands. The data engineering team is responsible to ensure that all important data is gathered, processed, and available to our business. As a member of this team you will design and build reports to feed dashboards and analytics solutions that support our critical business decisions. You will be involved in some data heavy projects. 

As a data analytics engineer you combine our Offshore and Dredging knowledge with technology. So based on the data you provide, our tender teams are able to select which tenders they should bid, and how big our chances are. Or the data you provide enables us to determine when to dock our vessels, and how to increase the productivity of our production processes.

Your responsibilities as a data analytics engineer (front end)

• You gather and analyze reporting requirements.
• You design and build dashboards to create a state-of-the-art analytics environment in PowerBI.
• You drive the Boskalis PowerBI key-user community by guiding and supporting our business colleagues.
• You maintain and optimize our PowerBI reporting environment.

Your qualities
You can make your mark as data analytics engineer if you have:

• At least 4 years’ relevant work experience in a similar position with focus on data analytics.
• A Bachelor degree, preferably in business administration.
• In-depth knowledge of Power BI and Excel.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure SQL and ETL processes would be a big plus.
• A good command of written and spoken English.

• Your team: You will be part of the Abu Dhabi team and you will also work closely together with the head office corporate IT team.
• Where you will work: You will work from our beautiful office in Abu Dhabi.
• Fulltime/ part- time job: The position of data analytics engineer is a fulltime job.
