Job Description

Citizant is seeking a Senior Data and AI/ML Specialist with experience planning, communicating, and advising foundational big data, advanced analytics, and AI/ML initiatives within an enterprise IT office (e.g., CIO, CTO, CDO). This is an exciting and impactful role that provides the opportunity to be on the ground floor of a potentially revolutionary technology transformation that will improve government efficiency and responsiveness to the American public.

We are looking for someone with relevant experience in the early stages of establishing an organization’s AI/ML capability, including long-term strategic planning, road mapping, senior stakeholder engagement, change management, and business case development for AI/ML implementation. Passion about maturing organizational capabilities and using AI/ML to transform how an agency achieves its mission is essential!

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Developing, communicating, and executing high-level strategy for agency-wide AI/ML adoption to include the maturation of an existing AI/ML Center of Excellence.
• Envisioning and authoring AI/ML governance that aligns with organizational strategic objectives and data governance best practices.
• Collaborating with business unit representatives to mature the use of AI/ML within their respective organizations.
• Provide high-level data and AI/ML subject matter expertise to inform strategic communications and project planning.
• Enthusiastically and intelligently advocating for the use of AI/ML.

Qualifications

The Ideal Candidate Must Have:

• 10 years’ experience and a related master’s degree.
• A strategic--level view of the steps necessary to take an agency-wide AI/ML capability from ideation to realization including work with AI/ML or related Centers of Excellence.
• Ability to analyze senior stakeholders’ needs and provide custom solutions tailored to an organization’s structure and cultural norms.
• Ability to communicate AI/ML and advanced data concepts clearly and effortlessly to senior stakeholders with varying levels of technical understanding.
• The proven ability to work seamlessly and flexibly as part of a high-performing, multidisciplinary team.
• A current Public Trust determination or the ability to receive a Public Trust determination.
• U.S. Citizenship.
