Job Description

The Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for working with the product teams and development teams to develop and continuously improve the data analytics business intelligence tools provided to our customers.  The successful candidate will have experience in data analytics and developing dashboards using a variety of business intelligence tools to design and maintain external facing reporting tools. 

At times the role may include gathering and analysis of the business requirements and translating them into meaningful specifications. You will also be tasked with research and analysis of customer data. The ideal candidate would be able to think logically and process information with a high level of detail, accuracy and efficiency while communicating the information proficiently across different organizational levels.

About the Day to Day Responsibilities of the Role

  • You will design and create visualizations and analytics that meet customer specifications.
  • You will access source data in Microsoft SQL Server environment and play a key role in data modeling and evaluating data integrity
  • You will Maintain and improve existing reporting solutions and data sources, identifying source data issues and concerns and working with appropriate personnel to address these issues.
  • You will perform data analysis and research.
  • You must possess ability to think logically and process information with a high level of detail, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • You will Interact with all levels of internal users to gain understanding and translate business requirements into sustainable and efficient visualizations
  • You will communicate testing progress and results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management.
  • You may create documentation for training purposes, and support client training initiatives

Qualifications

About You and How You Can Excel in This Role

  • Proficiency in business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI or Spotfire.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in EDI claims compliance reporting and a good understanding of the FROI/SROI transactional data and the corresponding compliance reporting outputs. 
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Knowledge of dimensional modeling preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in Dashboard Development and/or Development preferred.
  • Data processing experience preferred
  • Excellent troubleshooting ability required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience/knowledge of exploratory data analysis techniques.
  • Strong data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving skills
  • Able to "time-box" and balance multiple responsibilities concurrently with efficiency.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills.
