This is a hybrid role based in our Jersey City, NJ office. At Bluevine, we pride ourselves on our collaborative culture, which we believe is best maintained through in-person interactions and a vibrant office environment. All of our offices have reopened in accordance with local guidelines, and are following a hybrid model. In-office days will be determined by location and discipline. #LI-Hybrid

Building a banking platform is no small task. To keep up with these requirements, we practice high coding standards across the technology organization and embrace cutting-edge technologies to make real-time decisions based on vast amounts of data. 

As a Sr. Data Architect, you will work on a variety of features and cross-team projects, with a great group of people. 

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

• Design, implement and master the Database infrastructure focusing on PostgreSQL and Redshift; focusing on database tuning and performance
• Take ownership on new projects, researching new infrastructure technology
• Advise engineering teams in the design of the correct DB Schema and indexing strategy 
• Being SQL language expert, capable of writing complex queries for performance and scalability
• Design, maintain, and implement complex ETL tools and data pipelines

FOR THIS ROLE YOU'LL HAVE TO BRING:

• 4+ years of experience with Data Modeling, managing and  tuning of relational as well as NoSQL databases (Postgres, Redshift, Neptune, Elasticsearch, Redis)
• 2+ years in scripting language: Python - must,  Bash - an advantage
• Experience in building large-scale data processing projects using AWS technologies – (Lambda, S3, EC2, ECS, DynamoDB, Kafka, RDS)
• Experience in ETL development using Cloud Technologies (Amazon's DMS, Pentaho, etc… )
• Good SQL skills and Strong knowledge of data normalization and data relationships
•  A good knowledge and experience with Linux
