Mintel is looking for an experienced Data Manager to join the dynamic Chicago team. This role will be working as part of Mintel's Data Governance function within the Data Innovation team to develop data models, common taxonomies, data structures and well-governed data marts across all of Mintel’s data. This person must be comfortable working with remote teams and will be an influential position that will help shape the future of data at Mintel. 

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Working with a team to create the new data structure for Mintel’s data
  • Establishing data models, data structures, data standards, best practices, processes, procedures for the data on the roadmap
  • Facilitating working groups to gather feedback on recommendations, work through implementation details and roll out change
  • Providing critical support for your areas of data expertise both within and outside the team, to include:
  • Working with data owners to translate business requirements to data requirements
  • Helping data projects to meet standards
  • Governing the data life cycle of data domains from inception to production
  • Documenting data quality and transformation rules appropriately

  • Tech-Savvy : You have excellent Excel skills and are able to find creative ways to help clients digest and derive insights from large sets of data. If you have experience with R, SQL, Looker, or other data analysis platforms, that's a plus.
