Application Engineer Internship in Wearable Tech & Core Body Temperature

greenteg offers a six-month work-experience training program for students studying technical, engineering, or data science subjects. Your internship will be at the interface of technical engineering and business development. Specifically, you will test and evaluate greenteg's solutions in customer devices.

The Calera integration business encompasses greenteg's wearable sensor solution, which is used by consumer electronics companies (e.g., smartwatches) as well as MedTech companies for patient monitoring systems.

Tasks

Integration customers of greenteg go through various stages, such as hardware integration, software integration, industrialization, and aftermarket improvements.

At greenteg, we support them at each stage to ensure the high quality of our Calera solution in their devices. You will assist the Application Engineer and Business Development team with the following tasks:

Customer Support:

• Provide technical support to customers, addressing inquiries and resolving application-related issues.
• Assist customers in understanding, integrating, and testing our sensors correctly.
• Document customer interactions and feedback to drive continuous improvement.

Calibration:

• Perform calibration of customer devices to ensure proper integration and reproducibility.
• Develop and maintain calibration procedures and setups.

Device Testing and Data Collection:

• Conduct thorough testing of devices on measurement setups and humans subject to ensure proper operation and performance.
• Collect and organize test data for analysis.

Documentation and Material Creation:

• Create detailed documentation and test reports based on findings during calibration and device testing.
• Develop user manuals, technical guides, and training materials to support customers and internal teams.

Data Analysis and Plotting:

• Analyze test and calibration data to fine-tune calibration parameters and identify device-specific issues.
• Create visualizations and plots to clearly represent data findings.

Competitive Analysis:

• Conduct competitive analysis to benchmark our solution against competitors.
• Gather and analyze data on competitor products, features, and performance.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on competitive analysis to enhance our product offerings.

Requirements

Education:

• Currently enrolled as a student pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science or Engineering.

Availability:

• Seeking a 6-month internship starting in August or September 2024.
• Must have a valid Swiss working permit.

Skills and Abilities:

• Motivated and able to learn quickly and independently.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in German is preferred. Additional languages are an asset.

Technical Skills:

• Proven experience in experimental work and documentation.
• Proficiency in Excel, Python, PowerPoint, and data analysis.

Work Environment:

• Excited to work in an entrepreneurial atmosphere within a Swiss scale-up.
