Research & Development Intern

Responsibilities:Lightspeed Studios are one of the world’s most innovative and successful game developers. We are expanding across China, the United States, Singapore, Canada, Japan, South Korea, and New Zealand.

Founded in 2008, LightSpeed Studios has created over 50 games across multiple platforms and genres for more than 4 billion registered users. It is the co-developer of worldwide hit PUBG MOBILE.

1. Working with scientists to research and develop advanced techniques in the following topics:

3D geometric learning, 

Re-meshing and UV optimization,

Physically-based animation and simulation

Machine learning for computer graphics

Motion planning in a virtual city

Character locomotion and control

realistic image synthesis and real-time rendering techniques.

2. Researching and developing tools and pipelines to facilitate the use of technologies in the game development environment.

Requirements:

Strong coding skills in one of the following programming languages: C++, python, TensorFlow/Torch.

Solid knowledge of calculus, linear algebra, and basic numerical analysis.

A strong sense of responsibility and good communication skills.

Plus

Graduate students in a master's or Ph.D. level program.

Publications on computer graphics/vision, machine learning, and robotics.

Familiarity with game engine, graphics APIs, and GPU programming.

The base pay range for this position in California is 24.81 to $57.70 per hour.

Actual pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment, relocation package, and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, as well as other medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the specific position offered.
