Your innovative ideas will play a crucial part of driving cutting edge data approaches integrating client data and research with ML and AI to offer outstanding client outcomes.We’re looking for passionate, analytical, innovative data scientists who push the boundaries of technology, tackling challenging problems in the fields of data science and machine learning research to simplify outcomes in a complex world for our customers. The role requires a person who is a team player, collaborative, persistent researcher, dedicated to solving large data sets and driven to uncover insights for a successful automated anomaly detection model that provides value to our customers. If you have a passion for building top-notch, scalable analytical products and extensive experience in scalable platforms, we’re looking for you! WHAT DATA SCIENTISTS DO HEREData science is at the core of what we do at relayr. We collaborate with engineering, UX, product, and other teams to contribute insights and data science best practices to all parts of the business.

Typical day to day tasks for a data scientist might include:

  • Use cutting-edge Machine Learning techniques to build the world’s most advanced IoT Condition Monitoring Solution for Industrial Equipment.
  • Use a mixture of supervised and unsupervised methods to design, prototype, and refine our predictive maintenance systems working closely with Subject Matter Experts.
  • Explore federated learning and transfer learning to shorten the time to value for our customers.
  • Implement MLops solutions for continuous deployment, monitoring, and retraining of models.
  • Collaborate with technical leadership and senior engineers to drive thought leadership.
  • Work in a cross-functional team together with Product Owners, Solution Architects, Software Engineers, and other Data Scientists.
  • Perform ad-hoc data analysis and present results.
  • Prototype and iterate quickly.
  • Engage in architectural discussions.
  • Participate in workshops to align customer requirements with our product and our business goals.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative or relevant field
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in an analytics role
  • 3+ years of experience in machine learning and data analysis code in python
  • 3+ years of experience in machine learning techniques, ideally supervised learning and anomaly detection.

Nice to have:

  • Experience working with IoT systems, ranging from DIY home projects to industrial IoT deployments
  • Have made substantive contributions to open source projects in the areas of data science or machine learning
  • Practical experience using cloud native ML and Analytics tools (preferably Azure)
  • Good knowledge of traditional signal processing.
  • Master’s degree or PhD in a quantitative or relevant field
