As part of the Internal Analytics team, you’ll use your skills to help us understand what’s working for our customers, what’s not, and what we need to do next to improve our products and grow our business.
Working as a Senior Analytics Engineer you will provide reliable, accurate & quality data sets to the Analytics team, as well as modelling data in a way that facilitates and makes more efficient the work of the data analysts and empowers end users to answer their own questions.

What you’ll do

  • Responsible for the data transformation processes and standards and embed these across data analytics team
  • Analyse and transform transactional and master data to provide clean, accurate and quality tested data to be consumed by the Internal analytics team and SMEs in the business. 
  • Work closely with the Data Engineers and Software Engineers to ensure the correct ingestion of new product feature data
  • Collect, aggregate, and integrate data from a variety of sources
  • Build solutions & infrastructure that help data scientists and analysts work more efficiently
  • Create and maintain documentation and data definitions
  • Train business users on how to use a data platform/visualisation tools
  • Keep up to date with the latest data practice and trends, to help influence the direction for the Data & Analytics team.
  • Promote a data-driven culture across the business

What you’ll need

  • Understanding of cloud databases e.g. Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery
  • Experience creating ELT pipelines reflecting business definitions into data assets
  • Advanced SQL - comfortable with window functions and CTEs
  • Knowledge of data modelling techniques
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to regularly influence and guide decisions 
  • High level of comfort with ambiguity, and ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment in which you rapidly adapt and learn for any given business problem
  • Tertiary education in data analytics, data science, IT, business or science

Nice to haves

  • Intellectual curiosity and an understanding of what drives customer outcomes and has a positive impact on the business
  • Exposure to dbt or Airflow
