Job Description & Summary

We are looking for a junior data analyst with knowledge and (academic) experience in data analytics tools, for example SQL, Power BI, Alteryx, or other data engineering tools or coding languages, with a good understanding of the importance of data quality.

You will transform data sources to insights, working in an interdisciplinary team with audit specialists. In your role, you will have great autonomy over how to get to the insights. The BI team is part of the National Office, the quality control department of Assurance. Therefore, there is emphasis on quality over speed in the work you will do. PwC really invests in its workforce, so there will be ample opportunity for personal development in soft and hard skills.

What will you be doing?

You will be working together with the National Office business intelligence team and coached by an experienced data analyst. Training needs can be discussed.

  • When you join PwC, you can count on a wide range of projects, from small data requests to large projects over several months.

  • Together with audit specialists you will discuss the projects. With synergy between the disciplines, we make impact with BI.

  • You will use data engineering tools such as SQL and Alteryx to extract the required data.

  • You will build dashboards in PowerBI to visualize the insights.

  • You will be given an opportunity to innovate in a supportive environment, experiment with new tooling to simplify and automate ongoing projects.

  • In due time you will be responsible for certain products that support hundreds of colleagues from the practice.

Does this describe you?

You are passionate about data, consistent and fast. You take responsibility. In addition:

  • You have a completed master's degree with a STEM profile (for example Mathematics, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Physics).

  • You have 0-2 years of professional experience in SQL programming and tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, Python, R, Power Automate, Azure DevOps, or other data engineering tools and coding languages.

  • You are curious and understand the difference between various disciplines of Data Analytics, such as preprocessing, Statistical modeling, Machine learning, Data visualization, Data exploration and analysis, Data storytelling & Data ethics and privacy.

  • You have strong analytical skills; you are able to transform abstract ideas into practical solutions.

  • Your communication skills are sufficient, and you have a proactive and self-supporting work attitude.

  • You are proficient in English, written and spoken, preferably also in Dutch - if not, you are willing to learn Dutch.

  • You are able to work both independently, as well as in a team, with professional curiosity for new ideas. You are able to combine multiple tasks and responsibilities.

  • You have sufficient empathy to understand others’ perspectives and to fit in the BI team - which includes data analysts and chartered accountants.

What are we offering?

At PwC, you will have the opportunity to be yourself, get the best out of yourself in a high-performance organisation and grow within our global network. As part of our team, we offer:
