AI Autonomy Program Manager

The Opportunity:

An effective program requires a manager who is passionate about guiding it through the complexities of its lifecycle. It requires someone who is dedicated to identifying challenges, mitigating risks, and supporting a team with vision and focus. That’s why we need you, a seasoned program manager who can ensure our growing portfolio of artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled autonomy investments and opportunities achieve success.

As a program manager on our team, you’ll design, implement, and maintain impactful programs by guiding efforts that help to build our business in this emerging area. Your National Security client will trust you to organize and coordinate program objectives, while your team will look to you for direction as they navigate requirements, budget constraints, and staffing challenges. As an authority on the Army's autonomy and AI (A&AI) needs, you’ll identify opportunities to grow the business by supporting your client’s mission. You’ll also broaden your expertise in problem management, strategic planning, reviewing contracts, and more. This is your chance to impact the advancement of A&AI capability development for clients such as the US Army client by delivering innovative technology solutions in areas of interest such as AI/machine learning (ML) decision support, human-AI integration, synthetic environments/modeling & simulation (M&S), experimentation concepts, and expanded tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) that leverage novel technology to drive mission performance beyond the bounds of current approaches. All the while, you’ll be sharing your knowledge and expertise of the program management methodologies and the operational domain.

This role will serve as a key technical management expert, advisor, and leader with a wide range of responsibilities. These include project management, where you’ll oversee the entire lifecycle of A&AI projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with client requirements and standards, as well as managing timelines, analyzing budgets, and managing resources, and risks effectively. In the area of technical leadership, you’ll lead the development and implementation of A&AI technology solutions by collaborating with engineers, scientists, and defense experts to ensure technical feasibility and operational integration while staying abreast of technological advancements in AI, simulation, and technologies applicable to the national security mission. Through strategic planning, you’ll also align projects with broader client strategies and goals, participate in strategic planning sessions, and contribute insights to identify technology insertion and transition opportunities. You’ll also need to engage with various stakeholders, communicating effectively with military personnel, government civilians, and contractors. This will entail preparing and presenting reports and findings to senior government officials and stakeholders and facilitating workshops and training sessions to advance the understanding of decision-makers and practitioners. Ensuring projects adhere to legal, ethical, and regulatory requirements, such as national policy directives on the use of autonomous weapon systems and responsible AI, rounds out this role.

Through your leadership, we’ll help transform how defense, intelligence, or other national security organizations use technology, including extending human reach, operating persistently in hazardous environments, and reacting with speed and precision exceeding human capacity.

Work with us and build the future of technology in AI-enabled autonomous systems with national security applications for the better.
