GenAI Engineering Development Manager – Salary Circa £70,000.

Are you an experienced hands-on senior engineering development manager with a specialist in Data Science/Engineering and experience with GenAI capabilities and services, who is looking for that next step in their Career?

Aviva is creating a completely new CIO Gen AI Platform team, responsible in delivering a state-of-the-art Gen AI platform that provides a common framework to build, test, deploy, operate, monitor, and optimize Gen AI models and services that leverage them for a variety of business and technology use cases.

A great opportunity has opened in this team for a GenAI Engineering Development Manager. We are looking for a highly motivated technical engineering development manager from a proven engineering background who can help shape the process for and execute on the delivery of world class GenAI services across Aviva’s business.

A bit about the job:
As part of the role, you will manage a group of high performing GenAI Engineers (development and assurance) to deliver GenAI services to be consumed across all areas of Aviva’s business. You will be liaising with Aviva Business teams, Enterprise Architects, CISO and others to shape requirements and so understand the technical development requirements scope to implement these requirements. You will use your experience to shape the development and delivery scope for all use cases and be able to prioritise features and capabilities for creation/modification based on business needs.

Aviva operates a “smart working” policy meaning that we spend approximately half of our time working in an office this role is based in, London, or Bristol.
 

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Have a proven track record in successfully developing and delivering complex technology solutions, to business requirements with minimal issues and to budget and time.

  • Experience working with Business Analysts, Architects, and GenAI Engineers to understand and transform business requirements to a technical development/delivery plan and execute successfully against this plan with solutions that meet the business and technology needs.

  • Experience working with testing teams to ensure the application functional quality and performance is understood, predictable and confirmed.

  • Be able to ensure the designs and delivery adhere to design, coding, documentation, and security standards.

  • Extensive Core GenAI engineering knowledge (LLM’s, RAG, associated capabilities, Responsible AI).

What you’ll get for this role:

  • Salary Circa £70,000. (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)

  • Bonus opportunity - 10% of annual salary Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
