The Opportunity
Adobe’s Lightroom is the industry standard for editing photos, offering powerful, end-to-end editing tools that take advantage of the dynamic range of data available in RAW photos. Using Lightroom’s powerful features – including thousands of one-click image improvement presets, sharpening and smoothing, masking, color correction, and noise reduction – photographers of all skill levels can take full control of their photos wherever they are, and rapidly achieve their visions.
Lightroom’s Platform Engineering team is looking for an experienced software engineer to focus on advancing ML/AI-based Lightroom features.
What You'll Do
• Architect and implement distributed computing systems to handle large-scale datasets and a variety of model training workloads including LLMs
• Collaborate closely with ML Researchers and engineers to accelerate the training of cutting-edge ML models
• Lead projects from scoping requirements to launch, ensuring ongoing support
• Identify and resolve usability, extensibility, and scalability issues
What you need to succeed
• Master's degree or above in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Experience working with Generative AI concepts/models; GPTs, LLMs, multi-modal diffusion models, RAG, semantic analysis
• Experience working with distributed computing frameworks such as PyTorch and programming skills in languages such as Python
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams #CPP-All1

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $154,000 -- $278,800 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
