Senior Data Scientist - Natural Language Processing

We have an opening for a Senior Natural Language Processing (NLP) Data Scientist to join the NLP team to advance Constant Contact’s AI engines in the coming years. As a Senior NLP Data Scientist, you will develop and deploy state-of-the-art NLP models that power Constant Contact’s AI products.

What You’ll Do:

• Work within the NLP team to evaluate business needs and priorities, align with key business stakeholders and address team needs related to solving various NLP problems
• Use deep learning, machine learning, natural language processing to develop algorithms to solve text generation, information extraction, language modeling tasks
• Build end-to-end NLP systems from understanding the business problem, to selecting training dataset, to model, evaluate, tune, and deliver NLP models
• Collaborate with linguistic experts in the company to iteratively improve NLP models by seeking human insights from evaluation of models
• Collaborate with product team to write production quality code for serving NLP models
• Collaborate with different stakeholders in the company to explore new business problems in which NLP models can help

Who You Are:

• Graduate education in Linguistics, Computational Linguistics, or a related field or equivalent practical experience. If you have a Ph.D. that is a bonus.
• Proficiency in building algorithms and models in Python environments, including TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn
• Strong coding skills in live product environments, going through a full data science life cycle
• Previous experience of working with transformer-based models, e.g., BERT, GPT, T5 is preferred
• Previous experience of researching and developing text generation models is a big plus
• Experience with the following:
  • Developing evaluation strategies and developing projects from concept to completion
  • Designing and implementing data-based research experiments
  • Managing, directing and/or evaluating the work of others
  • Data scraping
  • Regular expressions
• Familiarity with Machine Learning (ML) tools, models for Natural Language Processing applications, experimental design, research methodologies, qualitative and quantitative analysis.
• Strong and demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
• Independent worker with interpersonal and solution-oriented attitude; able to effectively operate with flexibility in a fast paced, constantly evolving team environment.
• Collaborative team player
