Technical Lead - Natural Language Processing

Our teams are growing! We have an opening for a Team Lead to join the Natural Language Processing (NLP) team to help lead a team of Data Scientists and Engineers to build the next generation of Constant Contact's AI engines. 

What You’ll Do:

• Lead a team of Data Scientists and Data Engineers that are looking to deliver solutions to solve the next generation of problems in the NLP space for Constant Contact
• Build end-to-end NLP systems from understanding the business problem to selecting training datasets, to modeling, evaluating, tuning, and delivering NLP models
• Help define and enhance standards for AI research 
• Set and lead by example with high-quality standards for readable and easy to maintain code. 
• Ensure quality by organizing and leading in code reviews

Who You Are:

To be successful in this role you possess a passion for the NLP space and have a proven track record of working in a research capacity and transitioning findings into a product space.  You will help lead the team to develop and deploy state-of-the-art NLP models that power Constant Contact’s AI products.

• Graduate education in Linguistics, Computational Linguistics, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent practical experience. If you have a Ph.D. that is a bonus
• Experienced in building and leading interdisciplinary teams with demonstrable successes
• Excellent programming skills and proficiency in Python, Numpy, Pandas, Spark, SQL for ETL, API development, data scraping
• Experience in using AWS or GCP
• Previous experience researching and developing text generation models is a big plus
• Familiarity with Machine Learning (ML) tools, models for Natural Language Processing applications, experimental design, research methodologies, qualitative and quantitative analysis
• Previous experience in building and deploying  data pipelines/databases for large AI models is preferred
• Familiarity with the basic principles of distributed computing and data modeling.
• Extensive experience with object-oriented design and coding and testing patterns, including experience with engineering software platforms and data infrastructures.
• Strong and demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
