What You'll Do:
- Architect high quality end-to-end solutions comprising LeagueApps' Next Generation Data Platform.
- Design, build, and productionalize robust data pipelines & data warehousing solutions based on internal & external stakeholder needs.
- Recommend and drive the implementation of modern solutions to improve new and existing systems and processes.
- Partner with the Product team to communicate architecture and high level concepts to various departments and ensure key stakeholders are positioned for success both educationally & technologically.
- Remain abreast of new and emerging technology and trends in data analytics and consistently evaluate their applicability to LeagueApps.
- Play a lead role in vendor product evaluation & integration by drafting RFIs/RFPs and assess applicability of technology to business needs.
- Help define and drive alignment of data standards & integration methodologies with various squads across engineering.
- Ensure system uptime by implementing tests & adequate logging/monitoring.
- Help determine and implement operational, security, quality, and performance standards.
- Work with leadership to help determine and execute on the roadmap.
Who You Are:
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, data governance, data mining, and data curation.
- Strong knowledge of cloud data infrastructure & third party software solutions.
- Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
- Outstanding problem solver.
- Solid understanding of ML processes & technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in designing, implementing and supporting production data storage solutions for both transaction processing and analytics workloads.
- Familiarity with the following technologies: Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake, Tableau, Looker, Hadoop, and Spark.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL.
- Strong proficiency in general purpose programming languages like Python or Java.
- Excellent architectural & design skills (ability to diagram, articulate, and clearly document complicated workflows).
- Proven ability to work with highly reliable and distributed systems.
Nice to haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or relevant field.
- Experience with dbt.
- Professional experience with ML & Data Science

- Product stakeholders meeting
- Post-mortems for all incidents you are named as a participant. (Attend / Own)
- Retrospectives for any projects you are a part of. (Attend / Own)
- All sprint, scrum, or planning meetings for projects that you are directly involved in. (Attend / Own)
- Weekly company All Hands. (Attend)
- Any other engineering or company meetings deemed mandatory. (Attend)
