Our team has an opportunity for a Software Engineer working on AI Delivery for our products in an inter-disciplinary team of Research Scientists, Research Engineers, and Software Engineers.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a highly motivated engineer with experience working on all aspects of modern cloud services, ability to design components carefully, properly handle errors, write clean and well-factored code with good tests and good maintainability, as well as a passion and natural curiosity regarding machine learning and artificial intelligence. 

 

  • Contribute to design of AI technology, with a focus on natural language processing 
  • Implement microservices exposing AI technology  
  • Develop and deploy infrastructure for hosting and operating AI models 
  • Monitor and operate AI model serving infrastructure 
  • Maintain operations of live services as issues arise on a rotational, on-call basis 
  • Contribute to development of automation within production and deployment of features 
  • Apply best practices to reliably build code that is based on well-established methods

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years experience building and operating cloud services. 

Other Requirements: 

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python 
    • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python 
    • OR equivalent experience. 
  • 2+ years experience working with machine learning models in areas such as: natural language processing, generative AI, speech-to-text. 

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
