Who You Are We are looking for the next generation of talented Data Governance / Technical Writer Interns to join our Spring Internship Program. As a BHG Financial Intern will have the opportunity to work directly alongside Data Governance professionals who will help you gain valuable experience by applying knowledge acquired in the classroom to create real-world solutions. BHG Financial gives you the space to explore your passions, discover new strengths, and innovate new solutions to help drive our business forward.

What You'll Do

• Work closely with the Data teams to ensure data integrity
• Help Manage and Update our Data Catalog tool (OvalEdgeee)
• Work cross-functionally with teams across the business and assist in crafting methods and procedural documentation
• Using Excel and other tools to move large amounts of data into the Data Catalog Repository
• Interview Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and capture detailed information to develop Business and technical descriptions for data points
• Research new governance tools

What You’ll Need

• Students pursuing a Bachelors's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics, Management Information Systems, or related field, graduating in May 2023.
• Availability from January – April
• Full-Time availability of 30-40 hours a week (Monday – Friday 9-6 pm EST – NO Weekends)
• Must be U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Experience with Documenting Stored Procedures, SQL tables, and columns for data lineage and dictionary project
•  Excellent communication skills and ability to learn and adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Comfortable working with technical platforms and languages (SQL, Python, Azure Cloud)
• Familiarity working with Confluence/JIRA, SSIS, and Data dictionaries preferred
