Vast is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst, Tableau, reporting to the Senior Vice President of Quality and Supply Chain, to support the development of the systems that will be required for the design and build of artificial-gravity human-rated space stations. This will be a full-time, exempt position located in our Long Beach/Mojave location. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the analytical strategy for key initiatives across Vast Supply Chain and Quality. 
  • Partner and build relationships with stakeholders, gaining a deep understanding of their business needs, to deliver analyses that tie directly to informing their strategic decisions.
  • Inform decision-making by visually and verbally synthesizing data into easy-to-consume storylines for both operational and executive audiences.
  • Define, develop, track and measure key performance indicators to assess the health of the department.
  • Develop dashboards and ad hoc analysis to provide real-time insights to senior management and stakeholders and utilize statistical analysis and data modeling techniques to identify trends, operational issues or inefficiencies. 
  • Lead innovation, proactively developing analytical solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy, including developing new methodologies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Marketing, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or other relevant quantitative fields.
  • 6+ years of experience with querying and analyzing large complex data sets, data visualization, and data storytelling.
  • 4+ years of experience in a highly analytical environment using data to extract actionable insights and drive strategy.
  • Proficient expertise with analytical and data visualization tools (SQL, Excel, Python, Tableau or equivalent tools).

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Experience using data analytics techniques for a wide variety of use cases and developing/reporting on key performance indicators.
  • Experience presenting to and working directly with executive leadership, a plus.
  • Experience with Big Query / Google technology stack or similar, a plus.
  • Knowledge of data science techniques, a plus.
  • Understanding of analytics for quality, supply chain and or logistics environment a plus.

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends to support critical mission milestones.
Salary Range: California$105,200—$151,400 USDCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS   Base salary will vary depending on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, business needs, and market demand. Salary is just one component of our comprehensive compensation package. The person hired will have access to information and items subject to U.S. export controls, and therefore, must either be a “U.S. person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62 or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing.
