Your Impact 

The Data department oversees all of At-Bay’s data-related requirements. Our ultimate goal is to enable and increase the use of data in the company through creative approaches and the implementation of powerful resources such as analytical databases, advanced data pipelines, BI tools, and data science technology. We hire the brightest minds to take on this challenge and equip them with the knowledge and tools that contribute to their personal growth and success while supporting our company’s culture of diversity and experimentation. At-Bay's Data team plays a critical role in empowering business users, product managers, engineers, and many others through data-driven insights. This is what drives up the challenge as part of the Data department, but also the reward. 

We are looking for a team player – you’ll have a lot of interfaces with people in Israel and abroad. You should also be independent, curious, and willing to share your perspective and push your ideas.  We’re looking for an experienced person with both Software Development and Data Science / Machine Learning experience to join our growing Data Science team and play a key role in creating Products and new hands-on innovations using our ML technologies.

Responsibilities

• Identify and propose data science and algorithmic solutions for various product initiatives.
• Guide talented engineers and researchers with data-related aspects of their work.
• Work with experts to identify opportunities for leveraging data to deliver insights and actionable predictions of customer behavior and operations performance.
• Develop end-to-end predictive models and algorithms to support business decisions  
• Research and devise innovative statistical models for data analysis
• Collect and analyze a wide range of inputs to identify Machine Learning opportunities that can help our company’s goals. You will do so by transforming business or product problems into machine learning initiatives.
• Work with the business domains to help shape the right questions  
• Mine our current & growing volumes of data to find actionable insights to drive ongoing improvements   
• Own end-to-end projects that solve complex business problems.
• Be part of an international, production-oriented, data-driven team

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience working as a data scientist/ statistician   
• 2+ years experience as a Data Science Team Lead
• MSc in Math / Computer Science / Operational Research or other quantitative fields 
• Proficiency in at least 1 programming language (Python preferred) 
• Knowledge of SQL  
• Good knowledge of what’s “Under the hood” of ML methods and packages (and preferably knowing how to utilize them in Python, Spark, or equivalent) 
• A good balance between theory and practice  
• The desire to keep up with the latest technologies and stay ahead of the curve  
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, research-oriented group with several ongoing concurrent projects
• A hands-on, passionate person who likes to get to the bottom of things in terms of both algorithms, coding, data, and business
• Having experience with big data and distributed computing (e.g. Spark) is an advantage
• NLP experience is an advantage
• Experience in Deep Learning with hands-on work on Keras/TensorFlow/PyTorch is an advantage
