You’ll join the Catalogue Tribe, a cross-functional department of engineers, data scientists, data analysts, product managers, and fashion experts. The Catalogue Tribe builds, maintains, deduplicates, and enriches the world’s largest fashion catalogue of 8M+ in-stock products, enabling a seamless shopping experience and deep personalisation for our customers. As Lyst is inventory-free, the Catalogue Tribe’s work is foundational to all of Lyst’s business operations, including retailer onboarding and the customer experience.

Lyst is going through an exciting period of growth and we’re scaling fast! We’re seeking a Senior Data Analyst to support the Catalogue Tribe.

We’re looking for an experienced candidate with proven ability to manage both strategic and tactical endeavours, with a structured approach to a wide array of initiatives and planning. This is an analytical role and so we’re looking for someone with a strong analytical background, underpinned with commercial acumen and natural curiosity.

The Senior Data Analyst role will report into a senior member of the Analytics Chapter - but will sit within the Catalogue Tribe working with the VP of Product and Product Management team.

This role will focus on delivering work in the following areas:

  • Generating and presenting product and commercial insights, communicating them to senior stakeholders and CXO.
  • Sit as a member of the Catalogue Tribe leadership team and work closely with the VP Product to support strategic decision-making.
  • Work alongside product managers, engineers, data scientists to champion and embed best practices in rapid experimentation.
  • Improving data availability/access points in Looker, reporting/dashboard set up and framework visualisation.
  • Act as a connector between the Catalogue team and other analytical workstreams to leverage work already undertaken across the business and utilise for higher accuracy in focus areas.
  • Contribute to, and support the overarching Catalogue strategy by proactively finding opportunities through data analysis.
  • Manage and develop other team members in the Analytics chapter.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years working experience as a Data Analyst.
  • Studied a highly numerate degree and a background in statistical analysis, either through studies or demonstrable on-the-job experience.
  • Advanced SQL skills, some experience in Python / R is desirable but not necessary.
  • Proficient using BI tools such as Looker or Tableau.
  • Excellent communication skills and comfortable presenting to stakeholders of varying technical knowledge and seniority.
  • Proven experience in conducting impact analysis to assess viable opportunities and scoping their relevance.
  • Demonstrable analytical and problem solving skills using complex data sets and producing clear actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Experience in establishing suitable measurements of success and establishing effective tracking and testing of progress.
  • Highly autonomous and comfortable with accountability; experience working across all levels within an organisation.
  • Ability to prioritise problems in order to focus on the biggest issues.
  • Experience line managing or mentoring other analysts.
