Data Engineer II, Data Science: 

Recorded Future continually collects data dumps from the dark web. These include exfiltration logs from stealer malware infections, database dumps from breaches, and raw data files for credential stuffing. As a data engineer, you will build capabilities to process this structured data into security analytics that protect the victims from account takeovers and similar attacks. And, you will create higher-order analytics that help security teams understand identity data in the criminal underground and take strategic actions to protect their networks and people.

What you’ll do as a Data Engineer II:  

• Drive excellence in our ingest and processing methods so incoming raw data drives same-day security actions for defenders.
• Collaborate with engineers building customer-facing APIs, integrations, and web interfaces, and deliver the high fidelity structured data needed by customers.
• Build high value analytics on credential and identity data from UG sources. Examples: current trends in stealer malware and victimology, and automated scoping of lost data for incident responders.

• 2+ years experience in software engineering using Python. You write clean, production-grade code that your teammates can easily work with.
• Great problem solving capabilities and experience troubleshooting data issues within your own processes and those of others.
• Proactive communication and effective collaboration with your teammates to get technical problems resolved. You are a self-starter. The ball is always in your court.
