Ardent is seeking a Geospatial Data Engineer to join our team.  

This is a remote role.

Position Description:

Ardent is seeking a Geospatial Data Engineer to support a mission critical GIS dataset used for incident management. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience supporting GIS data initiatives in ArcGIS. This role will involve data quality evaluations, ETL, ingestion of new data sources and supporting Dashboarding and other reporting efforts. This team will be applying AI/ML and other advanced data techniques in support of finding unique insights in the data that is available.  

This is a great opportunity to lead a strong technical team in the implementation of cutting-edge data science and geospatial technologies supporting a critical and life-saving mission.  This project is in support of the OCRSO (Office of the Chief Readiness Support Officer), developing data, dashboarding, and GIS solutions to assist the ORCSO in understanding and responding to emergency incidents. The scope of work involves stakeholder engagement, data governance, data science and engineering, and data analysis and reporting.  

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Experience with and comfortable leading deeply technical teams in the data science, data analytics, and Geospatial Data fields

Preferred:

  • Master's Degree
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Previous experience supporting DHS HQ
  • Existing DHS EOD
