We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Data Architect to join our talented team. Central responsibility as data architect will be to create, optimize, and maintain conceptual and logical data models and systems in the reference metadata organization.
Ultimately, you will develop database solutions and data models to ensure metadata is stored effectively and securely, and able to be collated and retrieved quickly. ​​You should know how to examine new data system requirements and implement migration models, and also have proven experience in data analysis and management, with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
This position can be located at the Gracenote (a Nielsen Company) headquarters in Emeryville, CA (USA), remote anywhere in the US, or a hybrid/combination. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and motivated to understand and leverage cutting edge technologies that will bring value to the organization.

Specifically you will:

  • Design and implement effective database solutions and models to store and retrieve reference metadata.
  • Research and properly evaluate sources of information to determine possible limitations in reliability or usability.
  • Compare and analyze information to identify patterns, relationships, and problems to effectively determine and define ideal data structures.
  • Assess and improve existing and future database implementation procedures to ensure they follow internal and external requirements.
  • Prepare detailed database models, designs, and architecture reports by analyzing and interpreting data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science or related field.
  • Proven work experience as a Data Architect or similar role.
  • Experience creating and maintaining complex data models and data platforms.
  • Knowledge of software engineering and database structure systems and principles, along with data mining and segmentation techniques.
  • Ability to complete milestones and work toward multiple deadlines simultaneously utilizing multitasking skills and task management strategies.
  • Good math, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
