The Own Brands food team at zooplus deals with the planning, management, and control of exciting own pet food brands during the product life cycle from market maturity to market exit. The Own Brands analyst has the function to plan, steer and analyze the Own Brands assortment, the overall development, and marketing activities as well as deriving recommendations for action to successfully develop the Own Brands further.

Your Responsibilities in this role:

  • Data driven operational optimization and management of the Own Brands Food product range, taking into account customer needs, market developments, and trends as well as zooplus' goals and KPIs
  • Analysis and number-based control of the Own Brands assortment in all required dimensions such as customer segments, product groups, manufacturers, brands/ source of business, and markets
  • Consideration of external data and trends where available, execution of market and competition analyses, derivation of recommendations for action for the private label range
  • Further development of the relevant assortment of key figures and the key figure system
  • Execution of planning processes as well as breaking down goals to the operational level and monitoring the achievement of goals
  • Expansion and further development of overall reporting in collaboration with the central BI team and implementation of ad hoc analyses
  • Development, agreement, and implementation of concrete measures to improve the Own Brands Food assortment
  • Set up standards for Own Brand Food reports on brand and product level as well as for marketing measures
  • Central contact for assortment-related projects, initiatives, and processes, in close cooperation with the central assortment management team
  • Visualizing Data in Tableau Dashboards

Requirements

  • University degree in computer science, mathematics, or similar.
  • More than 3 years of experience in behavioral Data Science and Social Analytics.
  • Proficient Tableau Knowledge (to independently set up and maintain Tableau Dashboards).
  • Experience using Python or a similar scripting language for statistical modeling.
  • Advanced SQL knowledge.
  • Solid analytical skills coupled with a passion for numbers and large amounts of data, as well as the ability to derive pragmatic business decisions.
  • High degree of responsibility, proactivity, and independent working.
  • Very good English (spoken and written).
  • Will be valuable unsupervised knowledge about data mining techniques and algorithms.
  • Will be valuable experience using open-source statistical packages such as NumPy, Pandas, Spark ML, etc.
