About the Role

Our team is growing and we are looking for talented engineers to join us. Nuro is pursuing an ML-first software stack. Our team provides solutions to empower machine learning development in Nuro and optimize offboard training and onboard inference. Our solutions include a distributed training platform, TensorRT, Neural Architecture Search, model development toolbox etc. 

As a Tech Lead in ML Infra, you will contribute to the technical direction of our solutions in ML productivity and platform, working with many different technologies across the domains of machine learning, cloud computing and distributed systems. You will provide a vision of the scalable machine learning platform to support a growing community of machine learning in Nuro. You will work closely with other engineers in ML Infra to drive these initiatives from end-to-end.

About the Work

• Architect the end-to-end ecosystem that supports machine learning development.
• Design and engineer a distributed training platform on cloud and optimize computation resource efficiency.
• Drive major initiatives to improve the tooling of machine learning development and troubleshooting.
• Build frameworks and interfaces to unify machine learning development experience and accelerate machine learning evolution.

About You

• 5+ years of work experience in deep learning or software infrastructure.
• Have knowledge in using at least one deep learning framework, e.g. Tensorflow, Pytorch, Caffe. Be able to implement basic deep learning algorithms, e.g. classification, detection.
• Have good knowledge in cloud computing and containerization technologies. You are able to architect distributed services using cloud infrastructure.
• Good project management and communication skills. You are able to drive the execution of major initiatives and cross-team communication.
• You are passionate about accelerating the benefits of robotics for everyday life.
