Data Analyst (contract position)

Everbridge is looking for a Data Analyst (contract position) to support and improve the commission process and reporting by implementing a wide scope of robust system-level analytics and reporting. Teach/assist teammates on how to use tools more efficiently. 

What You'll Do:

• Apply programming and advanced analytical techniques to optimize commissions and support commissions strategies in all work streams
• Develop, own and collaborate on a wide range of ad hoc analysis on behalf of commission by request of internal/external Leaders in a timely manner
• Present and communicate analysis regularly in a variety of venues with an audience ranging from peers to leaders
• Propose and create tools/dashboards/reports to proactively monitor and identify opportunities for commissions; automate exports efficiently when necessary
• Serve as an Excel/VBA/SQL SME by owning data integrity for commission reporting and supporting cross-functional Teams' SQL needs for performance reporting
• Extract and link data across multiple databases in order to initiate a wide range of analytical needs
• Develop, train and mentor more junior analysts within commissions
• May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders

What You'll Bring:

• Strong oral and written communication while effectively managing relationships internally and externally; ability to clearly summarize insights up to executive level Leaders
• Ability to function under stress, meet deadlines, juggle multiple tasks, and work as a Team player
• Demonstrate ability to interpret data, draw implications and modify approach in an ambiguous environment
• Ability to identify and solve complex problems using logic and reasoning
• Ability to recognize when data or reporting is wrong and propose solutions to remedy needs

Advanced level experience, expansive and far-reaching knowledge in:
• Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, charts, organizing data, conditional formatting, etc.) and Power Point (building, formatting, presenting, etc.)
• Writing and troubleshooting SQL (joins, databases NetSuite & Salesforce) or transferable similar database languages such as R, Python, VBA, etc.
• Working with large and complex datasets
• Analytical problem solving and root-cause analysis
• Developing reports using excel, Tableau, crystal reporting
• SAP Callidus experience - BIG PLUS
