Data Analyst/Scientist

IT Concepts is looking for an experienced Data Analyst to support our engagement with a Government customer.

The United Stated Department of Agriculture (USDA), Office of Budget & Program Analysis (OBPA) is seeking support to improve operations and better support Departmental budget activities and policy implementation and assessing its organizational structure, workforce allocations and business. This role will support OBPA’s continued evolution away from manual, time intensive and paper-based processes and toward a future operating model that not only more effectively leverages technology but also benefits from more streamlined, strategic, and agile business processes

Duties

• Support OBPA providing analytical capacities to the office in the area of data analytics

• Develop visualizations using tools such as Tableau, PowerBI and/or Sisense
• Use sophisticated data analysis methods to support project team in creating deliverable for client
• Support the development of analytical SQL queries and reports for tracking, trending, and interpreting business data
• Perform ongoing data quality assessments, identify discrepancies/inconsistencies, and resolve them
• Continually improve the end-to-end process of data collection, transformation, analysis, and reporting

• Develop data management programs and forms for data entry and maintenance by end-users
• Document data analysis and reporting architecture, designs, and write user guides

Requirements

Required

• U.S. Citizen
• Must be able to obtain USDA Clearance – Public Trust

• Bachelor’s degrees in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or related disciplines
• Seven (7) years of relevant experience as a Data Analyst/Scientist and providing analytical support in the federal or commercial space
• Experience supporting and briefing SES level customers
• Experience analyzing/modeling federal spending data
• Experience with legislative, Federal Financial Management, and budget management

• Excellent at identifying and solving problems

Preferred

• Experience with Tableau
• Experience with USDA Org Assessment process
• Fluency in data science concepts
