As a Data Analyst, you will play a vital role in supporting our client base with improving their investment operations processes, specifically related to reconciliation and data normalization. This role will be based out of our offices in Bristol or Solihull.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Business Analysis: Understand and document client business requirements and data specifications.
  • Project Implementation: Manage and/or assist the project manager with implementation and management of the project plan.
  • Research and resolve data integrity issues while performing the reconciliation and/or data normalization by communicating with the client and the data provider
  • Research and resolve client’s data related inquiries in a timely manner and document issues and resolution
  • Communicate delays and/or issues both internally and to the client
  • Participate in projects to improve processes and enhance the client experience
  • Understand and adhere to clients’ service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Propose solutions to problems and considers timeliness, effectiveness, and practicality in addressing client needs.
  • Set up mappings for new account data and work with Consultants/Clients to ensure new mapping is in place and working as expected in their UAT/Prod environments.
  • Analyze financial data feeds from a wide variety of data sources.
  • Maintain internal systems responsible for data source profile and inventory. Create and set up new data sources and file requirements as needed.

An understanding of Financial Services is vital along with:

  • An understanding and familiarity of Middle and Back-office processing, specifically Reconciliation, Trade Settlement, Accounts Receivables and Treasury Cash Management within the Financial Services Industry
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Finance or Accounting
  • An understanding of various financial instruments including equities, FX, derivatives, futures and options, etc. – the more diverse your knowledge, the better!

This is not a technical role. Along with an ability to process large amounts of information rapidly, you have excellent analytical, problem solving and communication skills. You also have working knowledge of SQL and Microsoft Office applications, effective project management skills and the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
