About the Role:

The Business Intelligence Engineer will be responsible for the creation, maintenance, and thorough documentation of business intelligence dashboards. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in BI development, a strong background in documentation, and experience managing a team of data analysts. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with excellent technical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain interactive and user-friendly business intelligence dashboards that meet the needs of cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data presented in dashboards by implementing rigorous testing and validation processes.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for BI dashboards, including data sources, data models, and user guides.
  • Mentor a team of data analysts, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business needs, and translate them into actionable BI solutions.
  • Continuously improve BI processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of data delivery.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to BI tools, data integration, and performance.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in business intelligence and data visualization.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in building and maintaining business intelligence dashboards.
  • Strong proficiency in BI tools, preferably Tableau.
  • Excellent documentation skills with experience creating detailed technical and user documentation.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
  • Proficiency in SQL and other data query languages.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in the Data Center and/or Cloud Computing industry.
  • Knowledge of data governance and compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $150,000-$175,000. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Hybrid Workplace

Successful candidates will be expected to attend onboarding training at our NJ Headquarters within their first several weeks of employment, with subsequent quarterly travel requirements of 1 week duration.
