We’re looking for an experienced Data Scientist who can help us to optimise our CRM and digital marketing campaigns, to scale more efficiently and effectively, and to grow Vinted on a global scale. You’ll be joining our Digital and CRM marketing teams, which focus on (1) expanding our core markets and conquering new ones, and (2) proactively targeting our existing users to boost engagement. This role centres on improving our campaigns’ ROI by focusing on campaign efficiency and user life-time value, analysing data to find new ways of measuring marketing’s success, and building automated reports which help to translate data into business actions. You’ll also be a part of the Analysts’ Guild – a team of smart and curious data geeks who’ll offer you all the support you need to excel in this position.

In this position, you will:

  • Improve the efficiency measurements of performance marketing campaigns
  • Develop attribution logic across different channels between trackable and non-trackable campaigns 
  • Build models to estimate the paybacks of the most recent marketing campaigns
  • Develop and improve tools to automate campaign tracking, analysis, and reporting
  • Build forecasts for media plans cross markets and channels, per device level 
  • Analyse CRM campaigns and propose improvements regarding channel, content, timing, member segmentation
  • Help to identify new CRM opportunities based on thorough data analysis of member behaviour
  • Communicate the results to your team and other stakeholders
  • Help your teammates with analytical tasks on an ongoing basis
  • Learn new programming and statistical languages
  • Author data pipelines via Spark- and Scala-based ETL framework
  • Create better processes, generate ideas, and lead change

About you:

  • Highly business-results-oriented and able to work with multiple teams
  • General analytics or BI work experience
  • Experienced in analysing the results of marketing (acquisition/retention) campaigns
  • Advanced knowledge of at least one programming language (R, Python, Scala, Java, etc.)
  • Able to effortlessly extract and transform data using SQL
  • Good team player
  • University education (BSc, MSc, or higher) in economics, big data, statistics, econometrics, or a similar field
  • Fluent English (written and spoken)

Bonus skills:

  • Prior experience with performance marketing attribution and tools (e.g. Adjust, Appsflyer, Branch, Kochava)
  • CRM marketing (email, push, in-app messages) experience, including tools (e.g. Leanplum, Braze, Selligent)
  • Experience in running and evaluating (mail and/or performance marketing) A/B tests
  • Experience in management consulting or acquisition marketing
  • Prior experience with data visualisation tools (Looker, Tableau, etc.)
