About the Role

We are looking for a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead direction and execution for the Autonomy Platform team, specifically supporting both ML infrastructure and possibly the Simulation team.  This senior TPM will manage timelines, priorities, risks and dependencies to ensure progress and delivery towards our company-wide milestones.

About The Work

As an Autonomy Platform TPM, you will be expected to:

  • Drive complex, cross-functional programs for the team – working with engineering leaders to set the team’s direction and priorities, to scope and define milestones, and to track progress, risks and dependencies towards these milestones.
  • Possess or quickly gain a deep technical understanding of autonomous bots and the infrastructure & tooling required to ensure clean signals and rapid, safe development.
  • Effectively lead technical discussions, bringing clarity and driving decisions forward.
  • Build strong relationships and coordinate cross-functional collaboration with other teams in Autonomy as well as in Hardware, Systems & Safety, Operations and others.
  • Be an unbiased source of truth for the programs you drive, providing efficient and effective communication of status and risks; and ensuring decisions and downstream implications are communicated to all levels of the organization.
  • Constantly be on the lookout for process or tooling gaps, to identify opportunities for improved documentation, automation, etc. in order to improve our end-to-end development, evaluation, and deployment process.

About You

We would like you to have:

  • At least 5 years of experience in technical program management, product management or engineering management in a software organization.
  • Excellent communication skills, as well as an ability to build relationships and foster cross-functional collaboration between people and teams.
  • A proven track record of bringing complex technical products to market.
  • Past experience with project management tools and Agile methodologies.
  • Start-up DNA: you thrive in a fast-paced environment with high ambiguity and competing priorities.
  • Strong technical depth in a quantitative field; and a passion for AI, robotics & machine learning, and the way they are transforming our lives.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering/Aerospace Engineering, and/or equivalent technical experience or aptitude.

Bonus Points

  • Past experience in robotics or autonomous systems.
  • Prior experience in safety critical applications.

At Nuro, we celebrate differences and are committed to a diverse workplace that fosters inclusion and psychological safety for all employees.
