Senior Director, Global Data Operations

Responsible for supporting the Vice President of data Engineering and Decision Intelligence, this role is focused on a wide array of Data initiatives to foster the integration and development of a robust Data Engineering and decision Intelligence community. The incumbent will ensure alignment and integration within the function, spearhead strategy formulation, manage projects, and devise and implement communication strategies.

Key responsibilities include aiding the VP in all strategic endeavors related to the Data Engineering & Deand decision Intelligence function. This encompasses managing internal and external communications, business and organizational planning, financial planning support, performance tracking, resource distribution, and liaising with the Digital and technologydership Team and essential stakeholders.

 

Furthermore, the role entails leading the organization and coordination of global and regional meetings, representing the VP when necessary, and ensuring the VP’s office operates efficiently and effectively.

 As a direct report to the Vice President of Data Engineering & Decision Intelligence, this position is an integral part of the leadership team and collaborates closely with the Senior Director of Global Communications, the Strategic Assistant, and their team.

 

What You’ll Do For Us

Key Responsibilities 

Vice President Partnership and Support: 

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner to the Vice President, Data Engineering & Decision Intelligence, providing strategic insights and proactive support on a broad range of initiatives. 
  • Design and coordinate global/regional meetings for the Data Engineering & Decision Intelligence function. 
  • Lead strategic projects critical to the organization's success. 
  • Represent the VP as required; ensure effective and efficient operation of the VP’s office. 
  • Facilitate achieving the Data Engineering & Decision Intelligence function's goals by helping integrate and operationalize efforts, building a solid cross-team community.  Act as the VP's proxy in meetings and on projects when needed. 

Operational Excellence  

  • Oversee budget management and resource allocation, manage the annual business planning and strategy process for the function, prioritization, and resource allocation while balancing near- and long-term business priorities.   
  • Orchestrate Data Engineering & Decision Intelligence budget with the support of Finance Operations teams to deliver on its annual budget, working with the finance team to identify risks and opportunities.   

 

  

Strategic Communications & Engagement  

  • Lead Data Engineering & Decision Intelligence communications internally and externally, ensuring alignment with DTS's overall communications strategy.  
  • Lead Data Engineering & Decision Intelligence communications internally and externally, aligning with DTS's communication strategy. 
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director of Global Communications to execute communication plans per the Digital & Technology Narrative. 
  • Work with various communication leaders to enhance the reputation of Data Engineering & Decision Intelligence within TCCC and with external stakeholders. 
  • Plan and execute community town hall meetings to foster engagement and transparency.  Write and/or edit key VP communication materials, such as presentations, videos, emails, web posts, and surveys, for various audiences. 
  • Drive employee and leadership engagement in the function, working with the People & Culture function by conducting survey analyses, listening forums, managing committees or ambassadors, and reporting progress.  

Qualifications & Experience Requirements   

  • Education: Advanced Science, Engineering Degree, or related fields   
  • Work Experience: At least 10 years in similar roles or with transferrable skills; at least five years of management experience; Company and System Knowledge:  Knowledge of our business and industry, understanding of TCCC and System operations worldwide is a plus. Experience working in global companies and matrix organizations.  
  • Consistently demonstrated success in many challenging and diverse business situations.  
  • Proven track record of overseeing large-scale projects with high degrees of complexity, especially in global contexts.  
  • Broad knowledge of the Data function and how the function supports the Company´s goals.   
  • Planning and organizing skills, ability to work on different projects simultaneously, and ability to lead cross-functional teams to deliver business outcomes.    
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, storytelling knowledge, and experience, with the ability to simplify complexity and build compelling strategic communications.   
  • Exceptional project management skills, able to juggle multiple priorities and drive results.

Skills:

Pay Range:

$177,100 - $205,700

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.

Annual Incentive Reference Value Percentage:

30

Annual Incentive reference value is a market-based competitive value for your role. It falls in the middle of the range for your role, indicating performance at target.
