Sr Project Manager - Data Services

Role and ResponsibilitiesThis PM will be responsible for both serving as a senior technical advisor to a federal agency and leading the build out of data pipelines in AWS for an enterprise data lake for data analytics reporting. The individual will be responsible working with the technical team to advise senior federal program managers on strategies and technology for enterprise data warehouses, data pipelines, and data analytics reporting tools. The individual will be responsible for reviewing system architectures for data pipelines, a data lake and implementing AI/ML tools. The PM will ensure project success, facilitate open communication, conduct project meetings, act as primary point of contact with the Government, and schedule activities. The PM will champion the use of Agile delivery techniques to plan and execute all tasks. The PM will lead efforts to prepare sprint plans outlining assignments with descriptions of work to be completed and estimated number of hours to be worked. The PM will support requirements gathering and backlog grooming activities and oversee technical implementation of product features. Required Skills: At least 5 years of experience leading and managing data services delivery and O&M programs, including service delivery, IT systems implementation, and solution development. At least 3 years of proven experience in federal government program/project management. Experience interfacing and presenting to C-level executivesExperience leading teams in the building of data pipelines using AWS componentsExperience leading Data Services delivery efforts with one or more of the following Data components: Warehousing, Analytics, Pipelines, Cataloging.Preferred Skills:Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership including translating complex technical concepts into specific and understandable technology recommendationsHands-on technical experience with data architecture, design, analysis, or other data services delivery.
