We grow and develop and make wonderful things happen together every day. It doesn't matter who you are, where you come from, what you look like, or what music you love. Join the band!
We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join the Data Management product area in our Data Platform engineering organization. Data Platform belongs to the Platform mission that consists of several organizational units (known as ‘tribes’) that reflect the needs and groupings of our internal customers. We specialize in systems for scheduling, orchestrating and deploying thousands of our distinct data pipelines that run hundreds of thousands of tasks per day, maintaining data quality with monitoring, alerting and reliability infrastructure.
We seek challenging technical problems that address business critical needs for teams all over Spotify, and engage in large open-source code bases (Luigi, Flyte, Styx), while working in a friendly, collaborative, and safe environment. We are an amplifier for efficiency, quality, and innovation across Spotify. We work within the Data domain to deliver excellent data engineering services at scale but since lots of our time is spent on building tools and services for our users we also go deep in both backend and infrastructure. Working in our team is a collaborative experience and you will have a phenomenal influence on our road map and strategies. We believe in learning to grow our skills and happily pair up or share knowledge with others both within our team and wider.
Spotify transformed music listening forever when we launched in 2008. Our mission is to unlock the potential of human creativity by giving a million creative artists the opportunity to live off their art and billions of fans the chance to enjoy and be passionate about these creators. Everything we do is driven by our love for music and podcasting. Today, we are the world’s most popular audio streaming subscription service.
