What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will provide scientific expertise in image analysis, develop internal capabilities for POC radiomics studies and support external collaborations.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the SME for novel radiomics-related technologies and strategies in both internal and external discussions.
  • Support different Amgen teams’ needs for radiomics assistance – providing published cases for similar needs, highlighting data requirements, algorithm capabilities etc.
  • Work with internal data technology colleagues to ensure that the data importing, exporting and storage have fit-for-purpose both for near term requirements as well as long term ones.
  • Outline the hardware and software requirements that will allow team to optimize algorithm development and testing. Operationalize and test provided solutions to ensure fit-for-purpose.
  • Execute POC studies with clinical imaging data to mitigate risk work prior to committing to external collaborations. Test incoming tools from collaborators.
  • Lead the development of advanced image analysis algorithms to help accelerate and streamline utilization of molecular imaging (SPECT, PET) modalities.
  • Assists in managing external collaborators’ activities once those have initiated – data transfer and QC, initial algorithm development/testing/validation, statistical support coordination and reporting.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree

OR

Master’s degree and 2 years of related experience

Or

Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of related experience

Or

Associate’s degree and 8 years of related experience

Or

High school diploma / GED and 10 years of related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A doctorate degree with four (4) or more years of experience in imaging data analytics working within an academic setting, imaging CRO or a pharmaceutical company.
  • Expert knowledge of imaging modalities including CT, MRI and PET
  • Experience with development radiomics algorithms for structure annotation and or prediction of specific phenotypes/genotypes with an emphasis on CT scans.
  • Excellent communication skills allowing to break down complex imaging concepts and work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to present scientific content to diverse audiences is required.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
