About the Role

Our team is growing and we are looking for machine learning R&D experts to join us. We apply machine learning to solve the challenging behavior(prediction and planning) problems, e.g. predicting other road agents’ behaviors, understanding their intents, and plan our own self-driving vehicle in a safe and acceptable manner. In this role, you will work on developing novel machine learning models, robust and scalable data pipelines, and deploy the models on our self-driving vehicles. 

About the Work

• Develop machine learning models to predict agents’ future trajectories, and classify agents’ intents
• Develop sequential decision-making models for safe and acceptable planning for self-driving vehicles
• Collaborate closely with engineers across behavior, perception, research, mapping and localization, infrastructure, etc.

About You

You have deep expertise and prior experience in some or many of the following Machine Learning areas:

• Experience designing advanced sequence, generative machine learning models
• Experience with transformer, graph neural network machine learning models. 
• Experience with multi-task, zero/one/few shots learning. 
• Experience with video/action classification models.  
• You have critical thinking to tackle challenging research problems, are resilient to failure, and have a passion to deploy the solutions into the product.
• You are a quick learner, a hard worker, and a good team player.
• You are an adept programmer and can write high-quality code.
• Have a passion for researching and solving near-impossible research problems.
• You are passionate about self driving technology and its potential impact to society.
• Have an advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Machine Learning, robotics, CS (or other related fields).
