Aurora hires people who want to build the future of transportation. Our software engineers work across the self-driving vehicle system, from algorithm design to high-performance embedded work to distributed implementations. We are developing robust, high-performance, and highly reliable software.

In this role, you will

  • Design and implement the core software framework for the Aurora Autonomy Platform
  • Make performance-critical autonomy modules fast and reliable
  • Integrate bleeding-edge, self-driving capable sensors 

 

 Required Qualifications

  • BS/MS or PhD in Computer Science or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience developing performance-critical applications
  • Excellent C++ or C programming in a UNIX/POSIX environment

 

Desirable Qualifications 

  • Experience with Linux Kernel modules and/or Linux real-time scheduling
  • Experience with sensor drivers
  • Prior middleware experience
  • Experience implementing multi-threaded middleware
  • Experience with robotics systems and/or ML systems
