Senior Product Manager, Unified Alerting & Data Visualization (Platform Services)

Sumo Logic provides Continuous Intelligence solutions to help thousands of organizations optimize their digital customer experience and secure their critical business infrastructure.  Everyday, Sumo Logic processes over 1 petabyte of machine data that is visualized using cutting edge analytics to provide critical insights for the world’s leading organizations.

We are looking for a Technical Product Manager to join our platform team to lead the development of Sumo Logic’s Unified Alerting and Dashboards services.  

You will work on defining winning product strategy and roadmap on capabilities such as:

• Cutting edge data visualization to present insights to users creatively
• Intelligent alerting to help devops and security professionals maintain situational awareness
• Alert response management to enable rapid incident response

Job Responsibilities: 

• Work closely with key customers and strategic partners to gather and analyze customer problems, use cases, and usage to gain a deep understanding of solution/product requirements.
• Prioritize product direction by maintaining a detailed product roadmap supported by data analysis and competitive positioning.
• Work across solutions teams to gather and prioritize platform requirements for our Operational and Security Analytics solutions.
• Represent the voice of the customers to Product Engineering teams, and to Sumo Executives.
• Partner with Engineering to ensure our service is meeting our scale (Over 1 PB/day and growing) and reliability goals, and make necessary prioritization decisions to support those goals.
• Participate in go-to-market plans, working and guiding product marketing and sales on technical solutions and approaches.
• Contribute and/or develop various aspects of sales kits including whitepapers, blogs, messaging documents, presentations and product demonstrations.

 Required Qualifications, Skills, & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering; MBA preferred
• 5+ years of experience, including experience in a technical product management role, and preferably hands-on software development
• Must be able to demonstrate data-driven decision making and prioritization for product and strategic decision making.
• Experience in leading the strategy and definition of a cloud-based service platform that supports 3rd party integrations and a developer ecosystem.
• Strong knowledge of Big Data, IaaS and PaaS technologies. Experience with leading cloud providers such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Prior experience in Monitoring, Observability, APM, or Log Management is a plus.
• Proven experience and knowledge of data visualization technologies such as canvasJS, highcharts, D3 or others.
• Excellent communication (written and oral) and presentation skills; solid business acumen; well-honed influencing skills are essential.
• Self-motivated and team-oriented; able to work both autonomously and effectively as part of a geographically dispersed team.
