What you’ll do

Within the production environment, you will contribute to the manufacturing and testing of prototypes featuring the pioneering Scout design and functionalities. Additionally, you will play a decisive role in transferring the lessons learned to the later pre-series and series production line. In your role you will report to the Manager Project and Data Management.

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the all-electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

  • Compilation of all product data and technical specifications required for the vehicle build
  • Assignment of product data scopes to the individual workstations and derivation of technical assembly instructions for each workstation
  • Change management and change deployment control and coordination
  • Close cooperation with R&D: Input data for definition of the vehicles (Bill of Material of each vehicle)
  • Technical coordination and implementation of special build scopes per workstation
  • Operational preparation, incl. special equipment, with Work Preparation and, if required, Tool Room
  • Preparation of parts data for problem analyses and measurement evaluations
  • Visualization of technical problems and countermeasures
  • Determination of technical descriptions for parts rework and finish

Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events daily. This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Columbia, South Carolina. Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time. You will be required to travel to the Novi, MI area frequently. 

What you’ll bring

  • 5+ years professional experience with expertise in manufacturing engineering, production planning, and/or project management
  • Deep knowledge of vehicle engineering processes and project planning software
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in mechanical, electrical engineering, or equivalent
  • Skillful at organizational navigation and cross-functional collaboration at all levels; ability to develop effective partnerships and relationships
  • Creative and strategic problem solver who exercises sound judgement

Pay Transparency

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Initial base salary range = $110,000-$130,000

Internal leveling code: IC9
