Role Summary

Renew Home is seeking a talented and self-driven Senior Data Analyst to join the growing Analytics team.

At Renew Home, we prioritize data-driven decision making, and you will play a crucial role in making this a reality. Collaborating closely with stakeholders across the organization, you will deliver analytic solutions and ensure timely insights by asking the right questions of our data.

Reporting to the Manager of Data Analytics (Dominic Frecentese), this role offers significant opportunities to influence and shape the Analytics team and function at Renew Home.

What You Will Do

  • Be the voice of data in cross-functional teams consisting of Product, Engineering, Operations, and Marketing. Ensure that decisions are made using accurate and relevant data rather than assumptions.
  • Establish and track KPIs for new product features and business initiatives.
  • Proactively analyze data to answer key questions for stakeholders (and yourself) with an eye towards what drives successful business outcomes.
  • Develop source of truth data models and aggregations in ELT/ETL.
  • Design effective data visualizations and dashboards to communicate business progress to a range of audiences.
  • Define appropriate data instrumentation for new product features alongside Engineering.
  • Perform statistical analysis and build predictive models on user interactions and smart device data to derive actionable and business-impacting insights.
  • Be curious, passionate, and take ownership of one or more functional areas.
  • Advocate for analytics best practices, and improved tools and processes.
  • Perform peer code reviews and mentor junior analysts.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of industry experience.
  • Fluency in SQL and extensive experience with columnar databases (e.g. Redshift, BigQuery).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Foundation in statistics including inference, simulation, and optimization.
  • Bonuses:
    • Experience in the electric utility industry, knowledge of electricity markets, and/or smart meter data.
    • Experience building data pipelines using Airflow or other ETL/ELT tools with Python.
    • Experience with the AWS cloud computing ecosystem including: Redshift, s3, DMS, MWAA, Lambda.
    • Experience with AI/ML tools/frameworks including: Scikit-learn, Tensorflow, PyTorch, Prophet, Numpy, Jupyter.

    • A competitive salary based on experience. The base salary for this role is: $126k - $175k.
