Research intern in General Machine Learning

About the job:

We are looking for interns to work with our research team, conducting world-class research in the area of Intelligent Operations and Management of future Autonomous Driving Networks (ADN). To realize our vision of ADN, concerns about trust, safety, interpretability and accountability of AI have been raised and need to be addressed. Neuro-symbolic AI is regarded as one of the most likely pathways to the next generation AI. By combining the strengths of machine learning with the capabilities of symbolic knowledge and reasoning, we are aiming to create a trustable lifelong computing system that can learn incrementally, evolve automatically, self-adapt to environment change quickly and make explainable high accurate decisions rapidly.

We are looking for interns interested in one or more of the following areas:

• General ML, NLP, Computer vision
• Neuro-symbolic AI
• Knowledge reasoning
• Reinforcement Learning
• Explainable AI (XAI)
• Knowledge representation, fusion, discovery, etc.

Requirements

Minimum qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in PhD degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Experience with one (or more) of the following:
  • neuro-symbolic AI,
  • knowledge graph,
  • deep learning, re-enforcement learning
  • XAI, knowledge reasoning
• Python programming competence.

Preferred qualifications:

• Ability to design and execute on research agendas.
• Available to work for 20-40 hours per week for a minimum of 6 months.
• Returning to your degree after completing the internship.
• Experience with research communities and/or efforts, including having published papers (being listed as author) at conferences (e.g. IJCAI, AAAI).
