Senior Software Engineer

What you'll do...

Position: Senior Software Engineer 

Job Location: 860 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086 

Duties: Responsible for data source identification and data analysis to build data pipelines. Sync with team on a regular basis to discuss business decisions and provide data analysis on launched projects. Propose and present ideas with data visualization to product managers for business needs. Analyze business problems, perform data analysis, quantify business impact, and recommend the best approach. Collaborate with Engineering, QA, and Product development teams. Develop Big data pipelines that process billions of data points using diverse technologies such as Hadoop, GCP, Hive, and Spark. Optimize and automate various processes using technologies such as Shell scripting, Apache Airflow, and Cronjob. Create data visualizations using technologies such as Tableau and Looker. Develop data insights from huge datasets employing technologies such as Python, PySpark, and Hive. Engage in performance tuning of dashboard to utilize the resources in an optimal way. 

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), or related field and 2 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment; OR Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), or related field and 5 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment. 

Skills required: Experience with object-oriented programming languages including Java, Python, and C++. Experience with object-oriented design and software design patterns. Experience with data structures and computer algorithms. Experience with Big data technologies including Hadoop, GCP, Hive, and Spark. Experience with data visualization using Tableau and Looker. Experience with algorithm design and simulation and optimization of computational problems. Experience with distributed architecture and programming API's. Experience with fundamental Machine Learning algorithms including classification and clustering. Experience with one of the following version control tools: Git or SVN. Experience with one of the following relational databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills. 

Salary Range: $174,518/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.   Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
