As a leader in the Analytics team, you will have the opportunity to explore, understand, and influence how millions of guests and hosts interact with Turo’s marketplace, and use data to solve meaningful business problems. We are looking for an exceptional people and analytics leader that can inspire and lead the finance data team, drive business decisions with insights, and help scale the Turo platform.

Examples of projects you would work on include, but are not limited to - understanding business performance and underlying drivers, developing dashboards to track key metric & financial performance, evaluating deal model economics, and identifying levers to unlock platform growth. You will closely work with finance, investor relations, accounting, business development, marketing, and legal counterparts and influence the project roadmaps.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a data team to analyze complex data sets and come up with actionable recommendations, test these recommendations, and share learnings with stakeholders
  • Collaborate extensively with finance, investor relations, accounting, business development, marketing, and legal leadership as the finance data lead and manage prioritization of projects and analyses
  • Present analysis and recommendations to all levels of the company and work with stakeholder teams to rapidly execute and iterate
  • Monitor key metric and financial performance, and understand underlying drivers
  • Partner with Data Engineering and BI teams to improve financial data infrastructure and reporting 
  • Provide intellectual honesty and unyielding integrity in all aspects of the role

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in finance/data analytics, data science, or similar role
  • Passionate about professional development with 1+ years of experience in a people manager role 
  • Superior communication skills: ability to decompose and articulate complex insights, and be direct when things are unclear
  • Thrives working in a collaborative environment; ability to work cross-functionally (specifically with finance, investor relations, & business development) and across all seniority levels
  • Strong data presentation skills and experience using Google Sheets/MS Excel and Google Slides/MS PowerPoint
  • Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational databases
  • Experience using data visualization tools (i.e. Tableau)
  • Must be intellectually curious, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
  • Must have a positive attitude, high integrity, strong work ethic, and a commitment to Turo’s mission
